Manila Water Foundation, in partnership with Manila Water Non-East Zone subsidiary Manila Water Philippine Ventures, handed over hydration, health and hygiene donations to Cebu Province Governor Pamela Baricuatro to support the ongoing efforts to rebuild communities after the typhoons and earthquakes that hit the province.
Six (6) units of refrigerated drinking fountains (RDFs) and boxes of vitamin supplements and soap from Pascual Laboratories were handed over in the Cebu Provincial Capitol.
The 6 RDFs will be installed in select district hospitals in the Cebu Province to provide potable and refreshing drinking water for patients and health workers. Boxes of Ascorbic Acid Poten-Cee and Derma-C soap will support the ongoing relief efforts for communities affected by recent earthquakes and super typhoons in the province of Cebu.
Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro and Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Elisse Nicole Catalan expressed their gratitude to the Manila Water Foundation and Pascual Laboratories for the donations that will support the health and well-being of Cebuanos.
At the handover, Manila Water Foundation Executive Director Reginald Andal presented the Governor with a collage of Manila Water Foundation program photos. The token reads: “Manila Water Foundation, in partnership with Manila Water Philippine Ventures, has consistently supported the Province and City of Cebu over the years through its water access, sanitation and hygiene or WASH programs. Through built-to-last, multi-faucet hygiene facilities, refrigerated drinking fountains, and potable water after disasters, the Manila Water Foundation has supported the health and well-being of learners in schools and local communities. These programs were enabled by the support of private sector partners and the strong collaboration with the Cities and Municipalities in the Province of Cebu.”
Over in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, boxes of Derma-C soap were also turned over by Tagum Water to Tagum City Health Center to support their health and hygiene campaigns in the community.
Manila Water Foundation remains committed to collaborating with private sector partners and local governments to support community health and well-being through WASH.
